I usually go for the half-rack pork ribs, they never disappoint. I've gotta come here almost weekly.

Great food and great ownership! The owner and I talked Ravens Playoffs as he prepared my family's food. I will be returning for another BBQ sandwich.

We came here on Friday night to order food. This is a small place that only has one picnic table out front with no shade which is OK. We came to order and take home. We both got the Big Bad Wolf sandwich that is barbecue, brisket, and bacon-- the holy trinity of food goods. I had to dissect my sandwich that came on a toasted bun-- it was too big and hot and messy to hold, which I just love. We both agreed that these sandwiches are amazing and high quality. I really want to give a shout-out to the Bacon which I deemed as perhaps the Best Bacon I have ever eaten in my entire life. It was thick yet crispy and delicate. It melted on my tongue like sugar. Sigh. As an old person who has eaten a lot of bacon, that's sayin' something. I love you, Bacon from Big Bad Wolf! And the cole slaw! It is de-licious and homemade, not the usual corporate slaw cliche. Thank you Big Bad Wolf Barbeque on Harford Road in Baltimore, Maryland! We will be back.

This place is cool. It's been in business for a long time. While the staff can be a little abrupt, the owner is really cool, and will carry a conversation. The ribs are really really good. The sauces that they provide are excellent. However, there's something missing and I'm not sure what it is. Either way, I'm always pleasantly pleased when I stop by. Definitely check them out!

This is REAL BBQ by really friendly people. This is not Chaps, or any of the other Pit Beef stands you'll find in and around Baltimore. This place is hands-down-BBQ. And it's good, it's really good. The beef ribs are as close to Texas BBQ as you're going to get in Maryland, and the cornbread -- that's not to be eaten separately. You take your corn bread and crumble it on top of the ribs...trust me on this. I recommend getting the Texas sauce on your beef ribs. The brisket is absolutely scrumptious, I wish it had a bit more bark to it but it's real deal brisket, smoked and soaked, it is the best brisket I've had in Maryland and like beef ribs there's not many places to get brisket in Maryland. I'd recommend getting it open face, with whatever sauce you prefer but I'd get the sauce on the side. I would hit that fifth star to make it a solid FIVE but the place is absolutely filthy, not just worn down but truly filthy. I'm willing to overlook some dirt and funk for good BBQ, I'll be back for sure but not as often as I would be if it were a bit cleaner.

Im always driving up and down Harford Road a fixture along the road just slightly north of Hamilton Center is Big Bad Wolf's House of Barbecue. Let me say that this little BBQ Joint is a Diamond in the Rough. I've been a lifelong fan of BBQ for the past thirty years. I've eaten BBQ all over the country; in Portland Oregon, Miami, Atlanta, Washington DC, Philadelphia, NYC, and many a backroad spot below the Mason Dixon Line. Barbecue is often how some regions in the country define themselves. Kansas City, Memphis, Texas, or North Carolina. Each is both alike and different from the others. We are Blessed here in Baltimore with this little Gem of a takeout BBQ spot. The menu is purposely small so that everything they have decided to serve they do very well. For a small place these folks show us that they are a fine House of BBQ. Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork and Chicken are the center of plate choices as well as also in all of their Mile High Sandwiches. Pair it with crispy not too sweet Cole Slaw, made fresh daily French Fries or Mac and Cheese. You simply can't go wrong with the Big Bad Wolf.
